Why We Love the New Zealand Tourism Industry

New Zealand is small country, spread over just 3 islands (don’t forget Stewart Island!) with a population of just over 4 million. When you live in a country as small as New Zealand, networking with other businesses and meeting new people is pretty easy. Plus, because we are a small country and we are far away from the rest of the world, we are very relaxed and chilled out. It wouldn’t be right to say that everyone knows everyone (4 million people are a lot to know) but you tend to know someone that knows someone that knows someone! The New Zealand tourism industry is very tight, and we all work together to provide you, our guests, with a fantastic experience! So I thought I would do a quick shout-out to the industry and talk about why we love them. Quality product, quality service As part of our tours, we work together with lots of different activity providers. We only want to give our customers the absolute best; we won’t settle for second-rate. Luckily, we don’t have to. The NZ tourism industry is world reknown for having a very high standard of service and quality. It means that we are […]

Interview With Tour Guest – Madeline

We love our customers, and it is our number one priority to help them have the ultimate trip around New Zealand! When we get a new review on Rankers, the office is thrilled. We love to hear about our guests and their experiences while on tour, which is why I am pleased to share with our readers an interview with one of our old tour guests, Madeline (aka Mayz), who did a custom tour of the South Island with her friends, using Haka Tours.  Thanks Madeline! Hi Madeline, and thanks for being interviewed! Firstly, please describe to the readers who you are and if you have travelled a lot. My name is Madeline (aka Mayz) and I love travelling! My love for travelling (or exploring) started quite young, where I would go exploring the different parts and states of my homeland Malaysia with my family and friends. Then in 2003, when I graduated from secondary school, I went abroad for the first time on my own! Destination: Seoul, South Korea. From then on, the travelling addiction just continue to heighten. I can’t stop. Since then, I have travelled to the following places (not counting the inbound travels): Thailand > Haadyai, […]

Haka Tours wins Rankers Supreme Award

Independent travellers have voted Haka Tours as the Visitor Activity Supreme Winner 2012 in the annual Rankers Traveller Voted Awards. Haka Tours beat off competition from 4000 other qualifying tourism businesses. According to owner Ryan Sanders – “We’re stoked to scoop this award which is one we’ve been targeting for a few years now. It is a huge achievement and a testament to the focus we have placed on providing fun, small group tours for our customers”. Rankers (http://www.rankers.co.nz) is a highly utilised and respected review website for independent travellers. The awards process accumulates the reviews of travellers from two sources. The Rankers team directly interview travellers and take quotes from them, plus travellers can post directly onto the Rankers site. Integrity is paramount and posts are checked to ensure authenticity. The following review from a UK customer, on 18th July, is one of many 10/10 reviews of Haka Tours on the site. “Haka Tours have been a godsend. I was travelling by myself for the first time, I normally travel with friends. I wanted to come to New Zealand for snowboarding but did not want to drive myself around. I got in touch with Haka Tours and they organised […]
